Notes: This dance was written May 25,1997, the night before the Brattleboro dawn dance, in my room in the Latchis Hotel. At the time we thought this was the last Memorial Day dawn dance. Scrod Pudding was playing the graveyard shift. I wanted a dance for the very last dance in the morning that was necessarily foolproof but fun, something like Steve Zakon-Anderson's "Salmanella Evening". This is mostly borrowed from Steve's dance, which is borrowed anyway! But, Citronella Morning, what better name since it was a late Spring morning in northern New England!! As I remember we played "Late for the Dance" in A and "Highlanders Farewell" in Am (a great set done by the String Beings on their tape "Late for the Dance") At 7 AM or whatever it was that seemed to pretty well sum it all up!
