Olson.
A duple improper contra by Bill Olson
A1 Bal N, Do Si Do N, Allem R N x 1 (16)
A2 1/2 Hey, W start L shoulder (8) W allem L 1.5 while M "orbit" the minor set clockwise x 1 (8)
B1 B&S Partner (16)
B2 Circle L 3/4, Bal Ring, Calif Twirl (16)
Notes: The orbit move was inspired by Mike Richardson's "La Habanera". I thought I'd try getting into it from a hey. The men need to be reminded not to continue the hey after they cross the set and turn right, but to start the orbit immediately. This dance needs space along the set for orbiting. The Hussy Queen was written on May 21, 1997, for Barbara Groh, a wonderful caller and dancer from Asheville, North Carolina.
