A duple improper contra by Bill Olson
A2 Bal wave (4), W allem R 3/4 (4), 1/2 Hey (start Partner L sh) (8)
B1 Pt B&S (16)
B2 Circle L 3/4, Sw N (16)
Notes: This dance was inspired by Tom Hinds' dance "Frederick Reel", and Cary Ravitz' dance "Snake in the Hey". I like the progression in Tom's dance from a Neighbor swing to Men "doing something". In Tom's dance the Men do sa do, in this dance I wanted to try the allemand left. The subsequent figures are similar to Cary's dance only timed so the balances are at the top of the musical phrase rather than in the middle. Dancers should be reminded not to swing too long in the B2 or there won't be time enough for the Men to allemand a little more than once and a half around! This is a dance for Pam Weeks' Border Collie, Sadie. Composed late May 2003.
